SEC to help lead the quick introduction of interactive data

Speaking to a US XBRL conference, SEC Chairman Christopher Cox said the SEC would play a leadership role in moving ahead the implementation of interactive data, seeking results in months not years. Cox added that the real basis of the SEC's interest in interactive data is its fundamental mission: to protect investors.
