Business benefits from machine-readable data
The Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) has recommended that the Ontario government improve accessibility of regulatory documents by publishing them in a machine-readable format.
The recommendation comes as part of the CFIB 2023 Red Tape Report Card, which issues a score and recommendations for provincial and federal government action to reduce barriers to business.
The report highlights machine-readable data as key to improving transparency by allowing easier external access to government data.
