Italian IFRS17 support materials available
The ABI-XBRL Italia working group has published ESEF-IFRS17 support materials. The aim is to assist listed financial institutions in aligning their consolidated financial statements with Regulation 815/2019 (ESEF) and the accounting principles in IFRS 17 on Insurance Contracts.
The final document, available on the XBRL Italia website, includes a methodological paper and two attachments containing proposed tagging for financial disclosures and the explanatory notes.
This year-long project saw active participation from ABI, XBRL Italia, major Italian banking issuers, and collaboration from the Bank of Italy.
