Merrill Corporation’s Mike Schlanger Elected Vice Chairman of XBRL US Board of Directors
Merrill Corporation, a global provider of secure content sharing, regulated communications and disclosure services, announced that Mike Schlanger, an XBRL industry leader and member of the XBRL US Board of Directors since 2009, has been elected to serve as Vice Chairman of the XBRL US Board. His appointment is effective immediately.
Mike has been involved with XBRL since 2007, having led the team that crafted Merrill’s XBRL solutions to assist SEC filers understand and comply with the SEC’s XBRL mandate. As an XBRL US Board member, Mike has provided significant leadership in the XBRL industry, helping SEC filers and financial data consumers understand and unlock the value contained within this new language. He has been a frequent speaker at law firm and financial professional CPE and CLE accredited events and served as a panelist at numerous XBRL US events. At Merrill, Mike develops financial transaction and compliance product strategies to meet client and regulatory requirements, and is on the leadership team guiding the development and sale of Merrill Bridge, the company’s SaaS disclosure management platform, and XBRL service offerings.
