Actually, the Facts Show…

Posted on February 10, 2017 by Editor

Sad news this week as we heard that Prof. Hans Rosling passed on, a year after making public his battle with pancreatic cancer. Still, as the team at his foundation, GapMinder.org point out, he might not be with us in person, but his legacy, words and actions remain. Rosling’s focus was bringing facts to decision makers in digestible form.

Prof. Rosling combined deep statistical knowledge with a hunger for raw data, a brilliant way of harnessing graphics to produce clear analytics and an exceptional and often humorous capacity for explaining his findings. He generally concentrated on human development and global population trends. Bill Gates, among many others, found that Rosling’s explanations about global trends – many of them inspiring and positive – an incredibly useful way to approach questions about development and investment.

Need some inspiration? Or want a new way to present some information? Check out one of his TED talks, explore the GapMinder site, or watch this documentary.
