A hands-on roadmap for jurisdictions adopting ISSB Standards

Jurisdictions working out how to adopt the ISSB Standards have a new helping hand. On 10 April, the IFRS Foundation launched the Jurisdictional Roadmap Development Tool—think of it as a planning kit for regulators who want to do sustainability reporting.
Revealed at the IFRS Foundation’s first-ever Implementation Partners Workshop in London, the tool is designed to take the theory in last year’s Inaugural Jurisdictional Guide and turn it into something you can actually use. It breaks the adoption journey into four big areas: who reports, what they report, how it’s enforced, and when it all kicks in. Not just checklists—real guidance, based on the choices jurisdictions are already making.
This matters. As more countries commit to building transparent, comparable sustainability reporting systems, the demand for practical, flexible tools is rising fast. With help from global partners—from development banks to audit networks—this tool helps align national plans with global standards, without starting from zero.
It’s available now, along with templates that show how different approaches can play out. If you’re charting a path toward ISSB adoption, start here.
