A Pioneer
Professor Robert Eccles has been hugely influential in the modernisation of corporate reporting, with a focus on many aspects of the way that reporting should work to serve both investors and society more broadly.
He’s been working at the Harvard Business School since 1979, and is currently a visiting scholar at the Saïd Business School at Oxford University. While he’s worked on many aspects of management theory, Professor Eccles is best known for pioneering work on sustainability reporting and integrated reporting. And yes, he has more than a passing knowledge of XBRL!
