EFRAG finalises sustainability pillar as it welcomes new technical expert group
The European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) Sustainability Reporting Board has appointed the members of the EFRAG Sustainability Reporting Technical Expert Group. This, it says, is an important milestone in its governance reform, completing the main steps in integrating the new sustainability reporting pillar alongside financial reporting in the EFRAG governance structure.
EFRAG notes that the technical expert group is drawn from 11 different countries and represents a wide range of stakeholders. It includes four country liaison seats, and we particularly congratulate XBRL International Board member Dr Maria Mora on filling one of these to represent Spain’s Accounting and Auditing Institute (Instituto de Contabilidad y Auditoría de Cuentas). A range of European public institutions, authorities and agencies are also invited to join the group as observers.
