First draft of new iXBRL transformations published

Posted on July 20, 2024 by Editor

The XBRL Standards Board has approved the publication of an initial Public Working Draft of version 6 of the Inline XBRL Transformation Rules Registry.

Inline XBRL Transformations define how human-readable text in an Inline XBRL document gets transformed in machine-readable data. For example, the registry contains transformations for many of the different date formats that are in use around the world.

This latest update to the registry adds transforms to better support enumerated values, and an initial draft of transformations proposed by the recent Text Block Tagging Working Group Note.

Software vendors and other users are encouraged to review and provide feedback on the new functions.

The draft registry can be found on our specifications site.
