FRC seeks roundtable participants to advance sustainability reporting assurance
The UK’s Financial Reporting Council (FRC) is taking steps to enhance sustainability reporting assurance through focused roundtable discussions. These roundtables, introduced as part of the FRC’s ongoing market study initiated in March 2024, aim to gather insights from stakeholders regarding the current state and future direction of sustainability assurance.
The market study, launched earlier this year, seeks to examine various aspects of sustainability assurance, including choice and competition among assurance providers, market capacity, and regulatory frameworks. Building on this foundation, the roundtables will provide a platform for stakeholders to share their perspectives, contribute to the FRC’s understanding of key issues, and shape the direction of future initiatives in sustainability reporting assurance.
The roundtables are scheduled for June and will be held in person at the FRC offices. Stakeholders interested in contributing also can also submit written responses until 13 June 2024.
Those interested in collaborating are encouraged to register on the FRC website.
