GLEIF updates information on regulatory LEI use
The Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) is a valuable element in digital reporting, reliably identifying filers over time and across jurisdictions, and connecting them with their financial data. For regulators, it helps facilitate risk analysis, market transparency and enforcement.
The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) has a useful resource for those interested in which regulators around the world are using the LEI, and how. Its list on ‘Regulatory Use of the LEI’ was updated on 19 August, and includes information on all known current and proposed regulatory rules that include the LEI. Here at XBRL International, we like that list so much that we came up with our own.
See the list of LEI implementations here.
