On 17 October 2024, the fourth episode of the IFRS Sustainability webinar series, ‘Perspectives on Sustainability Disclosure,’ will focus on the Pan-African context of sustainability disclosure.

This session will spotlight countries like Ghana, Nigeria, and Tanzania, which are making strides towards adopting the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) Standards.

The episode will delve into the driving forces behind ISSB Standards adoption in emerging markets and developing economies. It will also examine the necessary steps to build capacity for implementing these standards across Africa. This is part of a broader effort to engage jurisdictions and foster alignment with global sustainability disclosure practices.
