ISSB now at full strength
Completing a staggered appointment process, the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) is now at its full complement of 14. August saw three final members named from Europe and Japan. They were followed by a second Vice-Chair, Jingdong Hua, completing the Board leadership. Hua, who is former Vice President and Treasurer of the World Bank, highlighted his interest in outreach, commenting: “Sustainability is a defining issue for our generation. I am thrilled to join the ISSB and look forward to working with partner organisations and institutions to deliver capacity-building initiatives on sustainability disclosures both internationally and with particular focus on emerging and developing economies.”
