New UKSEF conformance suite released to support 2025 filings

The UK Financial Reporting Council (FRC) recently published version 2.0 of the UK Single Electronic Format (UKSEF) Conformance Suite.
This release is part of the FRC’s 2025 taxonomy cycle and is designed to help software vendors and filers ensure compliance with the latest UKSEF filing requirements, as adopted by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Companies House.
The updated Conformance Suite offers a series of structured test files and scenarios to validate software outputs against the official UKSEF taxonomy. It provides a practical reference point for developers and implementers, enabling a consistent and reliable filing experience across the UK’s digital reporting ecosystem. Users are encouraged to consult section 4 of the UKSEF Tagging Guide 2025 v2.1 for full context.
This is an important step in maintaining high-quality, structured financial reporting in the UK. The UKSEF programme continues to align with broader international moves toward digital-first transparency, providing both regulators and markets with comparable, machine-readable data.
For those developing or testing software, or simply wanting to understand the UKSEF framework better, the Conformance Suite is now available. Questions and comments can be sent directly to the FRC at xbrl@frc.org.uk.
