New XBRL US Excel Add-in for SEC data
For anyone interested in XBRL information filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), our colleagues stateside have released a highly useful new tool, with accompanying guidance.
The XBRL Filed Data Add-in for Excel can be used to retrieve, view and analyse near real-time data from public company financial reports. For those who want to try it out, XBRL US have published a short video tutorial as well as written guidance on getting started, with a demonstration on how to find, install and start using the Add-in.
