Updated XBRL Glossary Released
Business reporting can be complex and require significant professional knowledge and understanding. At XBRL International we are working towards simplifying the digital aspects of business reporting on many levels. One aspect involves encouraging all of our stakeholders to use consistent and, as much as possible, non-technical terms to clearly reference the way that reporting processes, systems and requirements fit together. An official glossary is regularly updated by the Taxonomy Architecture Guidance Taskforce, which operates under the XBRL Best Practices Board. Not sure what a “Cube” is? Need a better way to describe your XBRL documents? You can find the latest version of the Glossary, updated this week, here. Please feel free to provide your comments and suggestions here.
