XBRL Week in Warsaw
Next week the European XBRL community will converge on Warsaw to meet at the XBRL Europe/Eurofiling conference. Prior to the conference getting underway ESMA will host a “Meet the Market” discussion about the ESEF mandate. At the conference there will be an update from the European Commission’s EFTG project – a distributed index of corporate reporting across the continent. John Turner from XBRL International and Thomas Toomse-Smith of the UK’s FRC Labs will debate ways to improve access to Trusted Corporate Data. Peter van den Hul from the EC will provide an update on the Financial Data Standardisation Project. The ECB will talk about their efforts to analyse supervisory data using Big Data techniques. Elina Koskentalo from Finland will describe the way that SBR is being used to link data up around that country…. and much, much more.
In short – a packed agenda. We’ll report back next week. Find the agenda and registration details here.
