The XBRL Standards Board has approved an update to the ‘Designing HTML for Inline XBRL’ Working Group Note. This document provides information for creators of Inline XBRL (or iXBRL) documents on a variety of technical topics, including performance, text-block tags and compatibility between HTML and XHTML.
The XBRL Specifications Working Group has updated its Working Group Note (WGN) on the use of HTML in Inline XBRL reports, including additional information around the preparation of text block tags.
The European Single Electronic Format (ESEF) project, which requires EU listed companies to publish annual reports in Inline XBRL, has seen highly designed, “glossy” reports being prepared in the structured data format for the first time.
