FXO refresh now live

As we mentioned in December, we’e been making some improvements to the filings.xbrl.org website, known internally and informally as “fxo”. The new version provides enhanced functionality for navigating between filings, entities and filing authorities, and makes use of hashes to uniquely identify and trace filings, including where the same document has been filed to multiple authorities.

Expanded Meaning for Accounting Taxonomies

The XBRL Standards Board has approved a number of additional entries to the Link Role Registry, designed to enhance XBRL accounting taxonomies.  The new additions enable taxonomies to convey additional properties, or structured information, about the accounting meaning of concepts and dimensions in the taxonomy.

Now available: new link roles for more consistent metadata on concepts

We have recently updated the XBRL Link Role Registry, adding two draft link roles. The new ‘property’ and ‘propertyWithLang’ link roles are intended to provide a standard way to associate key-value metadata with concepts in an XBRL taxonomy.
